Musical Color Programs

Musical Color programs will begin in April 2013. David Schubach will work with Museum staff to create special events that will showcase relationships between music and works of art on gallery walls. Most concerts will be sited in Museum galleries. As reported in the Fall Member Bulletin, the Zanesville Museum of Art received a grant of $35,500 from PNC Arts Alive, a three-year, $1.5-million grant initiative from The PNC Foundation. This prestigious grant award is funding these unique Musical Color events. Admission will be free, though reservations are strongly advised for the gallery concerts.

Saturday, April 6, 2 and 4 pm
Musical Color American Songbook Program with female vocalist; with Intermission Reception 3 - 4 pm. Will correlate with exhibition: The Feminine Hand

Saturday, May 4, 2 and 4 pm
Musical Color Classical Program; with Intermission Reception 3 - 4 pm. Will correlate with The Feminine Hand, Superlatives II, or Permanent Collection.

Saturday, August 24, 6:30-7:30 pm
Musical Color Outdoor "Starry Night" concert. On the lawn facing Military Road with some chairs and space for blankets/picnicking.

Saturday, September 21, 2 and 4 pm
Musical Color Jazz Program; with Intermission Reception 3 - 4 pm
