Beaux Arts Club of Zanesville
The Beaux Arts Club, established in 1954, has a two-fold purpose: to actively support the Zanesville Museum of Art with a variety of fundraising initiatives and to educate its members about art. Since its inception, Beaux Arts Club members have raised money to allow the museum to build and improve its current facility, purchase works of art, and support the daily operation of the museum. The Beaux Arts Club annually sponsors the Mrs. Janice Ballas Excellence in Fiber Arts Award during the Ohio Annual Exhibition. In addition, the Beaux Arts Club and its members regularly partner with the Zanesville Museum of Art to support area charities including the Carr Center Cake Auction, Eastside Community Ministry CHAIR-ity Auction, Trail of Treats and Festival of Trees.
Over the last 75 years BAC members have raised more than $530,000. Past fundraising initiatives include the Time and Treasures auction held in November, December’s ZMA Holiday Concert bake sale, and each June the Art in the Garden Gala and Garden Tour.
Beaux Arts Club gladly welcomes community members to join this group of vibrant, philanthropic women. BAC meets on the first Tuesday of each month from September through May at noon. Due to Covid some meetings are held virtually using Zoom. For contact information please call the ZMA at 740-452-0741.
The Beaux Arts Club of Zanesville is a registered 501(c)(3) on file at the Ohio Attorney General Charitable Registration website.
