The Cincinnati Art Museum
The Taft Museum of Art
All ZMA docents are welcome to attend
$26.00 for those under 65; $16.00 for those 65+
Additional Information:
The ZMA will pay for gas and parking.
Misty will be collecting checks (made out to the Zanesville Museum of Art) or cash for your tickets. She will distribute tickets the morning of the trip.
We will leave the ZMA at 8 am sharp.
Please don’t forget snacks or beverages for the car ride, although we will be stopping along the way for stretch breaks as needed. It’s a 2 ½ hour trip or 161 miles each way.
As a precaution, please do not plan to leave valuables in the vehicles. Should you have a large bag or backpack, you could rent a locker at either museum for a small fee.
Alta, Janet, and Michael are riding with Laine, and Misty will be driving Peggy, Sally, Diane, and Jim.
We will arrive at the Cincinnati Art Museum (CAM) around 10:30 am and view Treasures of the Spanish World. I also recommend that you visit the Cincinnati Wing. It has an excellent exhibition of Rookwood Pottery and nice didactics.
We will lunch at the CAM at the Terrace Café between 12:30-1:30 pm. Please see the menu here. If you would rather see the museum and not stop for lunch, please meet the group at the main visitor service desk at 1:30 pm.
We will arrive at the Taft Museum of Art at 2:15 pm for timed tickets to the exhibition The Poetry of Nature (…) The museum closes at 4 pm.
We should be on the road by 4:30 pm, arriving in Zanesville by 7 pm.
So far the weather looks decent…rainy and 50 degrees.
