Mixed-Media Fabric Collages
Draw inspiration from this exceptional work of art, Fear in the Forest, by Maude Wallace Haegar that won the Janice Ballas Excellence in Fiber Arts Award in the 78th Ohio Annual Exhibition, on view through September 14. Instructor Gail Glagola will guide you through the process of creating your own fiber masterpiece with a wide variety of materials including fabric, paint, found objects, and more!
Gail is a retired New York State art teacher who loves to weave and paint. Recent paintings have been shown at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum in Coshocton, John McIntire Library, and The Works in Newark, Oh. Her weavings were the subject of a one-artist show at the John McIntire Library in Zanesville. Teaching remains a favorite and Gail sought out classes at the Zanesville Museum of Art to keep connecting with students young and “experienced”. After several years the museum asked her to join them as the Educational Assistant and a member of the newest Docent class.
