In this exciting, one-week camp, the ZMA is offering a unique opportunity for children in grades four through six to learn a wide range of art-making techniques from a few of art history’s masters. For three hours each day, students will study the work and techniques of a different internationally recognized artist, create original masterpieces inspired by their artwork, and enjoy the company of creative new friends. Enjoy an entire week of sculpting, painting, collaging and more as you earn rewards for your very own artist’s palette.
Yayoi Kusama | Explore extreme uses of pattern and color.Alexander Calder | “Draw” with wire to create three-dimensional sculptures of people and animals.
Vincent Van Gogh | Use Van Gogh’s signature dramatic style to re-imagine a room of your home.
Louise Nevelson | Discover the fun of found object sculpture.
Franz Marc | Use mixed-media techniques to create bold, expressive animal paintings.
