CERAMICS | Totem Pole Class

Children in grades five through eight will discover or enhance their clay skills and create a totem sculpture. Crafted by indigenous peoples of the Americas, totems are sculptural representations of clan identity. Students will be encouraged to explore their own identity, plan the sculpture's design, shape and model the clay, glaze the work, and then construct their iconic piece.
