CONCERT AT THE MUSEUM: The McIans Duo

  • Zanesville Museum of Art (map)

Modern and traditional celtic music with the mcians duo

Join us for a special concert in partnership with Columbus Musicians, LLC featuring the McIans Duo.

The McIans play modern and traditional Celtic music in the vein of Flogging Molly, the Pogues, Dropkick Murphy’s, and other Celtic punk and rock favorites.

Formed in the early 2000s by members of local cover band Six Pack Theory, the McIans have performed all around Ohio.  The McIans were formed and are fronted by Brian Kerr McIan, who emigrated 16 years ago to Ohio from his native Paisley (Glasgow), Scotland.  Having played in several successful and longstanding bands in and around central Ohio for the past 16 years, he formed the McIans with a desire to promote Celtic music and to fill a void in the local music scene.

Joining him is Steve Stinchcomb McIan and Ken Kress McIan–  who also plays with Brian in Six Pack Theory – and one of several fiddle players.  The fiddle player is the distinguishing mark of Celtic music, that role is filled by Rob Whittington McIan!

This event takes place at the ZMA in the 2nd floor Atrium.
