Become a world traveler and embrace the remarkable art traditions of exciting destinations across the globe in this dynamic, one-week summer camp. For three hours each day, students will immerse themselves in new cultures, discover spectacular art, explore the amazing history behind its creation, and create their own original works of art. An inspiring new journey each day will provide endless opportunities to think creatively, experiment with new materials, and try new art-making techniques. Have fun with fellow Art Voyagers as you share ideas, create several exciting projects inspired by your travels, and collect stamps for your Art Voyagers Passport.
Ancient Egypt | Turn your name into a work of art using Egyptian hieroglyphics.Mexico | Use printmaking to discover the visual wonder and symbolism behind the Day of the Dead.
China, 3rd Century | Explore the amazing Terracotta Army, and create your own clay figures.
South Africa | Create bold, geometric paintings inspired by the Ndebele tribe.
Chile | Become inspired by Chilean narrative quilt squares, and construct your own exciting mixed-media collage.
