Join the ZMA and the Ohio Chalk Art Guild at the Muskingum County Courthouse during June’s First Friday Art Walk in downtown Zanesville and discover the exciting process of street painting. Chalk artist Sheryl Lazenby will fill the sidewalk with a larger than life reproduction of Albert Bierstadt’s Old Faithful, a significant piece in the ZMA’s permanent collection. Make this a stop on your gallery hop and enjoy this fantastic art form, live music, refreshments, and a chance to chalk your own section of the walk.
The ZMA's own ZTMA (Zanesville Teens Making Art) will also showcase their own chalk art during this event. ZTMA participants worked with Lazenby throughout April and May to learn chalk art techniques and to create their own street painting designs.
Friday, June 1, 5–8 pm. Free and open to the public. This event is held at the Muskingum County Courthouse, 401 Main Street, Zanesville.
