Does your world revolve around your phone? We share our lives in tweets and chats and comments, but imagine what you could do using your phone's camera. Tell a story and share your thoughts with dynamic video and audio, just as filmmakers do today.
Family and friends are welcome to attend the premiere of your creations on the big screen Thursday, June 30, 5 pm at the ZMA.
During this two-week camp, young filmmakers will use their smartphones and apps to craft, shoot, and edit two-minute films. The ZMA is partnering with Zane State College's Digital Media Lab to offer instruction on filming techniques, lighting, and sound.
Confirmation notices will be sent by email upon receipt of your completed registration form. You will be notified if the camp is full. Please print and bring your confirmation notice on the first day of class for check-in.
A parent or guardian is required to sign their child in to and out of Summer Art Camp at the museum. A sign-in form is available at the front desk. We would be happy to make alternate arrangements if another designated guardian will drop off or pick up your child. Please provide prior written notice.
Please notify us immediately of any cancellations so that a child on our waiting list can attend camp.
Dress for creative success. Summer Art Campers should wear shoes that fasten to their feet; sandals must have a heel strap. For your child’s safety, please, no flip-flops.
With the generous support of the Taylor-McHenry Memorial Foundation and Zane State the ZMA is offering ten free film camp scholarships.
Camp includes apps, tripods, and a snack.
Apple devices recommended; iPhone 5s, iOS 8.1, or newer.
