Join us for a special live stream edition of Material Exploration with Misty where ZMA education coordinator Misty Johnson shows a variety of ways to decorate a wooden Christmas ornament with easy-to-find materials around the house. Join us on the ZMA Facebook Page on Thursday, December 10th at 5:30 pm for a fun and interactive demonstration of several easy decorating techniques.
This program is being held in conjunction with a Free Ornament Give-Away at the John McIntire Library.
Visit the Youth Services Department at the John McIntire Library beginning Monday, November 30th through Thursday, December 10th to pick up an ornament “take & make” kit. The kit includes a laser-cut wooden ornament and supplies to decorate. Please note that a limited quantity of kits are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Ornaments were created by Mid-East Ohio Career and Technology students and generously provided by the Zanesville-Muskingum County Convention Visitors Bureau and The John McIntire Library.
Make sure to return to the John McIntire Library on Friday, December 11th to hang your ornament on the Christmas tree for all to see! There will be a complimentary hot cocoa station, fairytale outdoor obstacle course, and self-guided tours of the StoryWalk® in downtown Zanesville.
