The Zanesville Museum of Art, with the generous support of the Ohio Arts Council, is pleased to present a series of engaging lectures in conjunction with this spring’s exhibition cycle.
STATE OF THE ART | STEM or STEAM?
Join our distinguished panel of regional and state educators, artists, and administrators for a lively discussion concerning the state of the arts in our education system. This panel is held in conjunction with the 2016 K–12 Student Art Exhibition.
Irene Baron Artist Teacher |
Baron, a private pilot, is a national award-winning aerial photographer and author/illustrator of the national award winning book, Unraveling the Christmas Star Mystery available at Amazon.com. She is certified to teach any science in the state of Ohio and has taught high school Physical Science, Astronomy, Chemistry, and Forensics.

In addition to helping educators, she volunteers in numerous community efforts. She has served 2 terms on the United Way Board of Muskingum, Perry and Morgan counties and the Muskingum County Workforce Policy Board. She is a member of the Powerhouse, Inc. board, a group advocating for arts for students and is also on the Muskingum County Workforce Policy Board. She is a past recipient of the Women of Achievement Award.
