THE ARTISTRY OF BONSAI | LECTURE

Join Tom Holcomb from the The Columbus Bonsai Society for an enlightening talk on the development and artistry of Bonsai.

A self-proclaimed "recovering" special education teacher, Holcomb took his first bonsai class in 1982 at The Dawes Arboretum and became a member of the Columbus Bonsai Society that same year. He was fortunate enough to study under his mentor, Max Puderbaugh, the founder of the Franklin Park Conservatory's Bonsai collection and work on the trees there for many years. With a small business as a Bonsai Potter, Holcomb enjoys doing programs and teaching Bonsai classes throughout the year.

This program is held in conjunction with the museum’s Art in the Garden Gala and Garden Tour, the ZMA and the John McIntire Library have partnered to bring you this in a series of inspiring lectures on artful gardening.
