Join us for a unique teen art-making program that will help young adults strengthen valuable team-building and leadership skills. Participants
of the ZTMA community will collaborate with artist mentors, develop social networks with other creative teens, make art individually
for their portfolios, and create art collaboratively for community-wide projects. Each month, teens in grades seven through twelve will meet
after school to organize, plan, create, and execute a joint artistic project.
Invisible Poetry with Elizabeth Christy and the Zane State Idea Lab
Transform your poetry into a mystifying work of sidewalk art. Join poet Elizabeth Christy and learn a little about the process of this art form, pen several original poems, and then, using Zane State College’s IDEA Lab, transform your favorite verses into large-scale sidewalk stencils. Using a unique spray and those templates, you and your friends will convert the sidewalks of downtown Zanesville into a secret and inspiring canvas, which is only visible in the rain. Your invisible poetry will appear and reappear on rainy days for up to four months.
