Join us for a unique teen art-making program that will help young adults strengthen valuable team-building and leadership skills. ZTMA participants will collaborate with artist mentors, develop social networks with other creative teens, make art individually for their portfolios, and create art collaboratively for community-wide projects. Teens in grades seven through twelve will meet twice a month to organize, plan, create, and execute a joint artistic project. Open studio time will also be available to ensure project completion. The next exciting project starts April 12.
Street Painting
Work with professional street painter and Ohio Chalk Art Guild member, Sheryl Lazenby, and experiment with chalk painting techniques. Transform your original designs into spectacular, large scale public art. Work alongside Lazenby and showcase your finished street paintings during June’s First Friday Art Walk in downtown Zanesville.
Participants will execute their final projects on June 1 as part of the First Friday Art Walk in downtown Zanesville. Dates and times are subject to change according to participants’ availability. Registration required by April 5.
