The Ian Jones String Quartet

Join us for the first show in this year’s Concerts at the Museum series!

Ian Jones earned his Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance at the Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University in 2003. He has been playing violin and viola in orchestras, at weddings and other events for the past 20 years. He has performed as concertmaster of the Dana Symphony Orchestra, Assistant Principal Second Violin in the Warren Philharmonic, as Acting Assistant Concertmaster in the Central Ohio Symphony, and played with Newark-Granville Symphony Orchestra in addition to other orchestras throughout the state of Ohio. Ian has a primary focus on chamber music, having studied string quartets, trios and duos for two full summers at the Bay View Music Festival and The Milwaukee Chamber Music Festival. He performed for some time as the electric violinist in the traveling rock band Crush. He started Columbus Musicians, LLC. in 2009, a company providing string musicians for events in Columbus Ohio, and has since sold it the beginning of this year. Ian is married to Tiffany Jones and they have 8 children. 

This event takes place at the ZMA in the 2nd floor Atrium.
