Jaye and Melodie Hayes:
Jaye and Melodie are the current owners of the Howard Chandler Christy (The Barracks) property just south of Duncan Falls. They are life-long admirers and collectors of Christy art and memorabilia. The property was purchased by Jaye’s grandparents in the 1940s and has remained in the family since then. Although the original home was claimed by fire, the studio remains in the upper level of the large barn built by Christy. Jaye and Melodie consider themselves to be “Keepers of the Christy Flame” and welcome visitors to The Barracks by appointment and at the open house on September 14 from 10am -5pm. They will also host an artist plein air event at The Barracks on Aug 24 anytime after 10am. Artists in any media are welcome.
