Topic: Rare American Art Pottery

Part of the fun of collecting American Art Pottery is discovering rare and unusual pieces like this experimental vase created by Roseville Pottery Company. This piece features a highly stylized hand-carved tulip design attributed to Frank Ferrell and dates to around 1920. This vase likely inspired the new designs for the Mostique line, which were introduced in 1921. Find or take a photo of a piece of pottery in your collection that is rare, experimental, or unusual and post it to social media using #ZMAphotohunt.
